I'm a Machine learning Enthusiast, I'm Currently pursuing a Bsc In Electrical and Computer engineering at the University of the West Indies. I'm a very passionate and energetic person, who loves using the knowledge gained to solve real problems, particularly in the field of AI and IoT. I learned the fundamentals in physics, chemistry, statistics, and pure mathematics.
August 2017 - May 2018
STANFORD'SÂ MACHINE LEANING COURSE BY ANDREW NG
In this course, I learned the Mathematics behind the fundamentals of some machine learning algorithms like logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines, forward propagation, backpropagation just to name a few. Also, I was given the opportunity to write the code to implement some of these algorithms. In the end, this course gave me a better intuition and deeper understanding of the fundamentals of deep learning algorithms, which aids me a lot in debugging and the tuning of the hyperparameters of such algorithms.
January 2016Â - May 2017
UDACITY INTRO TO MACHINE LEARNING
This is an excellent non-certificate free course on Udacity where I explored the fundamentals of machine learning with Sklearn and pandas. Also, at the end of the course, I built a person of interest classifierÂ
(People carrying out fraudulent transactions), using the Enron scandal dataset. For me, this project was difficult due to the amount of preprocessing needed to be done and the fact that at that point of time I was new to machine learning. Even though it was difficult, it was a satisfying experience since I learned a lot about dealing with data and tuning hyperparameters,end, achieve a 90% accuracy on the entire Dataset.

ANDREW NG'S 5-COURSE DEEP LEARNING SPECIALIZATIONS
In this 5-Course specializations, I have explored the fundamentals of Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Improving Deep Neural Networks in terms of Hyper-parameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization,  I also learned the fundamental of Convolutional Neural Networks, Sequence Models and Structuring of Machine Learning Projects. In the end, from this course, I have gained a lot of practical experience exploring issues encountered training neural networks, implementing neural network architectures like resnet and inception just to name a few.

What I’ve Done



COMMERCIAL PROJECT
Crypto-currency  Forecasting
A team of developers and IÂ were tasked with the design and building of a web application that gives forecasting information using machine learning models. I was responsible for the training and preparation of the models over different time periods and preparation of scripts to be integrated with the back-end of the web application.
STUDENT PROJECT
Design and Construction of a Series Pass Voltage Regulator with Automated Display
This project entails the design and building of a Voltage Regulator system with a 7V output. This system also included an automated display to display measured temperature, current, and voltage, also overcurrent and overtemperature protection were also built-in.
COMMERCIAL PROJECT
Facial Recognition
This project entails building a Facial Verification and Detection system for security in Cars, this system was deployed to an edge device with a camera.

Live Plant Management system
Fuel Managment System
Signature Verifcation System
This project entails a live plant update system to monitor plant productivity. This system was built using a computer vision solution, where cameras are placed in strategic places on the plant which are connected to a Raspberry Pi which runs the computer vision software on the video stream from the camera.
This project entails designing and building a Fuel management system to automate the logging of fuel taken from a fuel tank. This was done using a Rasberry Pi, RFID technology with React-based Frontend, and Firebase Database.
This project entails building and training a Neural Network model capable of classifying whether two signatures are of the same person.

GROUP INITIATIVE
Automated Drone and Self-Driving cars
This is an on-going project where my friends and I have created a group to research and develop self-flying drones and cars from the ground up. We are starting off with developing on a junior rover car and programing the car's basic controller on a microprocessor before graduating to a drone or integrating any sort of AI and IoT technology.
REASEARCH PROJECT
Digit Classififer using Multi-spectral data
In this project I worked as a research assistant to a client who was researching the use of multi-spectral Data in machine learning, I was tasked with the job of implementing a custom ensemble digit classifier designed by my client.
